The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band is a 13-piece jazz orchestra,
founded and lead by Ted Hogarth, with the mission of preserving
and performing the music of Gerry Mulligan, and those composers
and arrangers whom he influenced. The four components to this
project are:

I.    Digitization Project
To digitize Gerry Mulligan's compositions. This process involves three
sequential steps:  entering the original score into the music
publishing program Finale, editing the original score and the
musicians' performance parts, and then editing the score from the
original recordings.  The goal of this process is to make Gerry
Mulligan's original compositions and arrangements, and the edited
versions available to the general public.

II.     Performance
Perform compositions and arrangements by Gerry Mulligan and those
he influenced including members of The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band.

III.     Education
The primary goal is to educate young musicians about Gerry
Mulligan's life, music, and his various contributions to music.  This
will be accomplished through performance and master classes
conducted by members of The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band.

IV.    New Music Development
To raise funds to support the creation of new compositions and
arrangements influenced by Gerry Mulligan, and to continue the spirit
of Gerry Mulligan to inspire the creation of new music by helping
young musicians find their own genius.
